Welcome!

The majority of our members are parents of children/adults with Down Syndrome. Other members comprise of professionals from the Medical and Educational sectors, and volunteers.

Our aim is to support families, create awareness among the general public and in schools, bring expertise from abroad with the aim of training professionals and parents to an international standard for special needs, thereby creating the same opportunities for our children in the UAE.

We currently have over 100 members from 25 different nationalities.

For those of you looking for jobs - please note that we are NOT a school / institution but a non-profit support group. We DO NOT employ staff and any person that works with us does so on a purely voluntary basis. So please DO NOT send us your C.V.s as our email is being inundated by job applications. Thank you

WDSD Walk 2013

Provide Your Support! 

We are urgently looking for Volunteers who can provide any of the following services:

Website Maintenance - you must already have the knowledge and expertise to edit websites

Music Teacher - Someone who can teach our children to play an instrument in dedicated weekly lessons

Drama Teacher - Someone who can run Drama classes for our kids on a weekly basis

Dance Teacher - Someone who can run Dance classes on a weekly basis
